Charitable Bequests and Planned Gifts
You can ensure that your commitment to the community continues with a bequest to the New Jersey Foundation for Aging through your will or trust. Bequests are the most frequent type of planned gift made to charity. Your estate receives a charitable deduction for the full amount given, so your heirs pay no estate tax on the gift. NJFA encourages this type of gift and sample language is provided below. When you include a bequest provision in your estate plan, NJFA will enroll you in our Legacy Club (if you choose), which honors those who make lasting gifts to the community and serve as role models for others. You may direct your bequest to the New Jersey Foundation for Aging by designating a specific purpose or service area, or the NJFA Community Grant Program, Special Projects or the Operating Fund which continues the Foundation’s initiatives of fundraising, grantmaking and policy work.
